We've increased the web capacity by around a factor of 6 across Universeodon to try to better handle the spikes in traffic. We currently suspect a large amount of this is bot / scraper activity but are having issues with our log ingestion.

We're going to continue to monitor the performance tonight and work to add some additional blocks to our load balancing infrastructure to attempt to prevent some of this traffic reaching our servers where they are bots / scrapers.

We're currently seeing sustained traffic of between 10 and 12 times that of MastodonApp.UK on the Universeodon servers.

We are continuing to investigate the issues impacting Universeodon - We're seeing huge spikes in traffic which we think at the moment is impacting the service. We have confirmed our fix to the database infrastructure has worked as epxected and this should be improving the stability there.

We believe we have identified the cause of the recent instability and are working to update our database configuration to resolve the issue.

We continue to work on identifying the exact cause of the issues, we have identified some performance issues with our databse and we're now performing some database maintenance to attempt to resolve some of this issue.

We're currently investigating stability issues impacting Universeodon. We're seeing elevated errors and reports of intermittent 500 errors.
