Universeodon Outage - Redis Impact

We have identified an outage on Universeodon.com caused by an issue with our Redis deployment. Our Redis is currently under exceptional stress due to issues with our content processing attempting to process over 5 million bad jobs which are needing to be re-queued. We are working to restore our redis service at this time.

  • We've restarted the underlying node and full service has now been restored.

  • Our original assessment appears to have been incorrect and we're seeing a network outage on one of our dedicated hosts impacting internet access. We are investigating the issue at this time.

    Multiple London Services Impacted

Monitoring has detected the ATLAS Blog and Superior Networks Billing panel have gone offline, we are investigating.

  • We narrowed the issue to DB05 which both services use which appeared to be unavailable at the time. It is unclear why the DB server was unreachable at this time and we will be looking to re-build our DB infrastructure in the near future to mitigate any future issues of this kind.

    MastodonAppUK Outage

We are investigating an outage on MastodonApp UK which appears to have been offline since 02:48AM UK Time today.

  • All systems operational.

  • The issue appears to be the result of connectivity and authentication issue with our database, further investigation will be required later today to see if we can find a root cause beyond this. The site is now back online and we continue to monitor for any further issues. Due to the extended downtime and issues we are aware that some content may not be processed now due to the limits on our content processing and there may be delays or missing federated content in addition to this due to the 7 hour outage.
