We identified the issue as the result of a relatively recent configuration change to our front-end HAProxy instances which was causing connections to drop. This change has been corrected and we've now confirmed streaming is working with connections lasting as expected.

We have identified an issue with our streaming (The functionality which keeps feeds up to date on the web UI in real time) for MastodonAppUK. We're investigating the issue at this time.
